Authentic Jin Jun Mei Handcrafted Black Tea - A Heritage Chinese Treasure

The Origin of Our Tea
In the mountains of southeastern China, there lies a tea garden that has withstood over a thousand years of history. The story of this tea garden began more than 1,000 years ago, during the Tang Dynasty, when the first generation of tea farmers discovered the perfect conditions for growing tea on this land—fresh air, rich soil, and a mild climate. The result was tea with a unique flavor that quickly became beloved by locals.
Over the centuries, the tea from this garden not only became a local treasure but also attracted the attention of merchants from far and wide. Each generation of tea farmers worked diligently to preserve the art of tea-making, refining the craft with each passing year. Through this, the tea-making techniques became a family legacy—one that has been passed down through the generations for over a millennium.

My Grandmother, The 11th-Generation Heir
My grandmother is the 11th-generation heir to this rich tradition. She grew up in this very tea garden, learning the art of tea cultivation and handcrafting from her parents. From a young age, she was taught that the essence of great tea lies in the care and attention put into every leaf.
Grandmother often shared stories about how our ancestors worked tirelessly in the mountains, hand-picking each tender leaf, and how they carefully crafted the tea, ensuring it retained its purest flavor. She would always say that tea is more than just a drink—it is a precious gift from nature and the culmination of generations of hard work and dedication. She was deeply committed to using traditional methods, believing that only by handcrafting the tea could its true essence be preserved.
As the 11th-generation successor, I proudly carry the weight of this legacy. Thanks to my grandmother and our ancestors' dedication, I have the privilege of continuing this tradition and sharing it with the world. Today, we continue to hand-pick every leaf and follow the same time-honored techniques to create tea that captures the spirit of our family’s craftsmanship.

Traditional Handcrafted Tea Production
Our tea follows the time-honored, handcrafted methods passed down through generations by my grandmother. Every step of the process is filled with care and attention to detail:
- Hand-Picking
Every spring morning, experienced artisans carefully hand-pick the youngest, tender leaves to ensure the finest aroma and flavor. - Withering
After picking, the leaves are naturally withered in a well-ventilated area to reduce excess moisture and enhance the flavor. - Rolling
The leaves are gently rolled by hand to help release their fragrance and shape them into tight, beautiful strands. - Kill-Green
The leaves are carefully stir-fried by hand to a precise temperature, halting fermentation and preserving the green color and natural aroma. - Drying & Grading
Finally, the tea is dried and meticulously graded by my grandmother to ensure only the highest quality leaves make it into every batch.
